West Michigan Medical Manufacturer Develops the World's First Crystal Clear Flexible Spine Model

Medical Engineering and Design, a local medical manufacturer just announced the launch of a new product that will be the first of its kind in the industry, the Clear Flex Spine.

The flexible clear spine model was developed to most true human anatomy. It fully articulates with lifelike disc’s to allow demonstration and education of any spine disorder. It is ideal for medical device companies for research or display at scientific or commercial exhibitions as well as suited for use in clinical medicine in the fields of orthopaedics, chiropractic medicine, anatomical study, training for surgical dissection, rehabilitation and sports medicine.

“Our goal was to develop and manufacture a product that would not only meet the functional needs of our customers, but also at an intelligent price,” says Robin Williams, President of Medical Engineering and Design. “Our competitors spine models were something that our customers kept struggling with. They wouldn’t provide for increased levels of technical and procedural difficulty. After a year of research and design, we were finally able to find the right quality raw products to develop a spine model that would define variations in anatomy to meet the needs of educators and trainees.”

The jewel-like quality enhances the overall appearance of this truly unique display tool. The solid, clear design models come mounted on a black stand that can have custom logo’s engraved on them or floating within the model itself.
